Our Story

Built From Inside the Fund Room

Between 2015 and 2020, our founders worked inside PE operations—first as auditors, then as embedded financial advisors. We saw the same pattern repeat: funds had detailed investment theses but fuzzy visibility into portfolio health, deployment pacing, and downside risk. Standard audits caught compliance issues. They didn't catch the operational insights that actually mattered.

We started Gildenfell to fix that. We built an audit practice that speaks PE's language: capital deployment, risk concentration, fund economics, LP reporting. We don't audit like accountants. We audit like people who've managed those numbers before. That difference shows in every engagement.
